Diabetic Breakfast Granola

In the light of Diabetes Awareness week, we started off our Monday morning with a breakfast granola, fortified with fruits and un-refined sugars.

It doesn’t take much to feel as though youve been treated to a delicious breakfast, and this can be such a welcoming feeling for most individuals who need to consider their intake of sugar daily.

So all that required in the base of a tray, is a few cups of free-from gluten oats, a sprinkle of cinnamon, a handful of dried cranberries, a handful of dried apricots, a handful of dried raisins and finally a sprinkle of sunflower seeds and a drizzle of maple syrup.

Place in the oven for 5-8 minutes and let the oats and fruits toast on the tray. The smell is amazing!

Serve a portion size with your favourite warmed milk (free-from or otherwise).
